BRIDGES, Serena Hall - Putnam

Mrs. Serena Ellen Bridges, former Carpentersville resident, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Lettie Purvis, southeast of Colfax. She died November 16, 1936 at the age of 74 years and 29 days. She was born near Louisville, Kentucky October 17, 1862, the daughter of Levi and Amanda Hall. On October 15, 1895, she became the wife of Charles Crawford Bridges. Since the death of her husband in 1930, she had made her home with her children. Also surviving are a son, Athal Bridges of Ladoga, one sister, Mrs. Emma McFerran of Roachdale and two grandchildren.
